Reuters releases Reuters TV app
for Apple TV
Today Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider, released Reuters TV for Apple TV. Following the successful launch of Reuters TV for iPhone and iPad earlier this year, the new Reuters TV for Apple TV extends the revolutionary on-demand mobile TV service to viewers’ living rooms. The app is exclusively available on the Apple TV App Store.
Reuters TV is aimed at a growing segment of informed, mobile, and globally engaged consumers who value authentic video storytelling and are too busy to watch traditional TV news at a fixed time and length.
Isaac Showman, Managing Director of Reuters TV said, “Reuters TV's expansion onto Apple TV is part of an ongoing plan to deliver our content to more users on more platforms. We already know our viewers are deeply engaged with Reuters TV on iPad and iPhone, and the new Apple TV app offers another way for them to access our visually striking programming on a larger screen."
Viewers can now stream Reuters TV’s signature news show, Reuters Now, on Apple TV 24/7. Reuters Now content is:
- Available on-demand
- Always current and up-to-date
- Any duration between 10 and 30 minutes
Editorial content from Reuters TV is produced exclusively for the service and draws upon Reuters extraordinary reach from 2,500 journalists in nearly 200 locations. In order to deliver the service’s variable program lengths, all content is produced in multiple versions and organized by editorial teams in London, Hong Kong, New York and Washington DC, providing 24/7 coverage for viewers.
