>> Billy Bush officially fired from the Today show. A top executive sending out a memo to staff Monday. Saying Bush would be leaving the NBC flagship morning show's 9 AM hour. He wrote while he was a new member of the TODAY team, he was a valued colleague and longtime member of the broader NBC family.

r. The host had first been suspended from the Today show after leaked audio from a lewd 2005 conversation with Donald Trump surfaced in early October. Bush with Access Hollywood at the time was talking over a hot mic with Trump who was then starring in the NBC reality show, The Apprentice.

Trump is heard boasting about groping women. His wife Melania meanwhile was pregnant with their son. Monday evening Melania Trump gave her first interview since the tape came out. And called what was said on the tape, boy talk, accusing Billy Bush of egging on her husband. After the news of his release, Billy Bush issued a statement of his own saying, I'm deeply grateful the conversations I've had with my daughters, and for all of the support from family, friends, and colleagues.

I look forward to what lies ahead, and he probably means it. According to report, NBC is paying out the full amount of Bush's three year, $3 million contract. And since there are no restrictions on him working for a competing network, he could be back on TV soon, although probably not until after this election.
