In Syria, where the people of Aleppo are hoping desperately that we and our allies may be able to do something to alleviate their suffering in the face of the barbaric assaults of the Assad regime, with the connivance of Russia and Iran. And I must tell you, at this stage, it is vital that we do not raise false hopes.
We know the difficulties and the implications of a no-fly zone or a no-bombing zone and no matter how easy those concepts may sometimes be made to sound. But, if there is more that we can reasonably and practically do, together with our allies, then of course we should consider those measures.
And believe me, that work is now going on.
