>> Move over London. The world's tourists want less of this and more of this. Bangkok edging out the UK capital as the world's top city for tourists. That's according to new figures from MasterCard. The US credit card issue a forecast that the Asian city will get almost 21 and a half million visits this year.
That's ahead of London on just under 20 million. Paris and Dubai in third and fourth. Tourism, a rare bright spot for Thailand where the economy has struggled since the 2014 military coup. A recent wave of bomb attacks in the south of the country, apparently no deterrent to visitors.
But London might yet have trump card to play. The value of the pound crashing by about 10% after the vote for Brexit. That suddenly makes the city a whole lot cheaper for overseas visitors.
