>> Investigators scouring every scrap of Ahmad Khan Rahami's life, the prime suspect in the weekend bombings in New York and New Jersey. Rahami, born in Afghanistan, grew up in the US. Reuters correspondent Joseph Acts spoke with friends and neighbors of his family.>> I spoke with one person who said he actually grew up as a teenager with Rahami, described him as a normal kid who hung out, played basketball at the local park, talked about sports, made jokes.

But he told me that he understood that Rahami had gone to Afghanistan several years ago. And when he returned he was a little bit different, he was acting a little more religiously, he was wearing religious garb. And they weren't really as close as they had been before that.

>> FBI agents on Monday sweeping this fried chicken spot and the attached residence in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The restaurant is operated by Rahami's parents and the suspect worked there. He lived with his mother and father above the store. Sources tell Reuters Rahami will be charged in Union County, New Jersey with attempted murder and two weapons charges in connection with a shootout just prior to his arrest on Monday.

Federal terrorism charges will depend on the evidence linking him to the bombings and his likely motivation.
