>> The second attack to hit the Somali capital this week. At least 10 dead after a gunman set off two car bombs outside a police station in Mogadishu before storming the building. Eye witnesses telling Reuters they could hear heavy gunfire inside for at least 30 minutes. Al-Shabaab militants, who have ties to Al Qaeda, claimed the attack.
Police say a soldier and five civilians were killed, over a dozen injured, some seriously, four of the militants died. This is the second attack for the group this week. On Tuesday 13 were killed in car bombings on an African union base in the city. Al-Shabaab regularly clashes with the peace keeping force and Somalia's government and is the target of a US drone campaign in the region.
