>> A flash flood from torrential rain, killing at least two people in Ellicott City, Maryland, Sunday, after floodwaters swept through the town's historic downtown, collapsing the street and upending vehicles. This incredible video posted on Facebook showing men forming a human chain to help a woman trapped by the raging waters out of her car as it floated down Ellicott City's Main Street.

She was finally carried to safety. A Howard County spokesman saying a man and a woman were killed, the woman's body found in the Patapsco River overnight. The area pounded by almost six inches of rain in just two hours late Saturday, sending the river gushing over its banks. This smartphone video capturing floodwaters rushing down the street in Woodstock, Maryland, about ten miles from Ellicott City.

Governor Larry Hogan declaring a state of emergency, businesses suffering major damage, with storefronts separated from the street, power lines downed, and sidewalks either ripped up, or completely washed away. Firefighters did manage to rescue about 120 people from the waist-high waters, including 80 from a local bar.
