>> Two people are dead after a knife and arson attack on a train in the Swiss Alps. The 27 year old suspected assailant and a 34 year old woman died from their injuries on Sunday. Two children aged 6 and 17, are also in serious condition. Five people were stabbed or burned in the attack in the Saint Gallen region of Switzerland.

A sixth suffered smoke inhalation as he came to help the others. Police have searched the home of the suspect and say they've found no links to terrorism.>> At the moment we're not treating this as a terrorist attack or as a politically motivated or xenophobic crime. We have no indications of that, neither do we have any indications that it was a crime of passion.

We've absolutely no information on what the motive might have been. As far as we currently know he acted alone
