Republican representative, Kevin Brady, leading the House Ways and Means Committee to approve the bill after a marathon 18 hour session.>> This is a historic step, an important step, in the repeal of Obamacare, in freeing millions of Americans, patients, and local business from that pain.>> The House Energy and Commerce Committee also pushing ahead with debating the draft legislation.
Once it passes the bill, it moves to the full House of Representatives for a vote. Democrats had mounted four adjournment motions on the House floor threatening to disrupt the committee debates. With House minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, telling reporters quote, this is decision-making without the facts, without the evidence.
House Speaker Paul Ryan looking for a full House vote to happen this month so the bill can move to the Senate for consideration.
