>> German's finance minister, the intended recipient of a package of explosives found in his ministry in Berlin on Wednesday. That's according to mass circulation newspaper Bild on its website. Police have not confirmed that it was addressed to Wolfgang Schäuble, only that it did contain explosives and was aimed at causing considerable injuries.
It was found in the mail sorting room, a finance ministry spokeswoman declining comment except to say an investigation has begun. Germany has suffered a series of attacks over the past year. The worst occurred when a lorry plowed through a crowded Christmas market in Berlin in December, killing 12 people.
