COMING UP:Share Opener Variant 1

>> This could just be Europe's most unusual race. Set in the world's largest wine cellar in Moldova, these runners are going down 100 meters, where thousands of wine oak barrels and bottles are stored. They'll attempt not to get lost in an underground medieval labyrinth of cellars. So organizers have told us, that in order to run the race, it's mandatory to have one of these, a head torch, it's gonna be quite dark down in some of the wine cellars.
And they've also given us a dusk mask, it's gonna get quite dusty down in the tunnels. And it's pretty icy underfoot, so we've been warned to take it a little bit slow. This is definitely the coldest race I've ever done.>>
> So while we run a bit further, here are some facts about this remarkable underground city.
The state-owned winery has over 2 million bottles, and Milestii Mici has earned its place in the Guinness World Records for the biggest wine collection in the world. Each underground street is named according to some type of wine or grape. This place began storing wine during Soviet times. But these underground galleries are over 200 years old and were used to extract limestone to build the country's capital.
Actor Steven Seagal and former US President Jimmy Carter are among its fans. While Russia's leader Vladimir Putin is a wine collection and a cellar down the road. Right, back to the race. We're about 5 kilometers into a 10K run in total. But this whole complex is a whopping 200 kilometers and just as well they gave us a map, because it's not uncommon that people get lost in the labyrinth.
>> It's quite disorientating and with no reception, it's hard to tell how far you've run, but there's plenty of surprises to entertain you down in the cellars. Tourists from the US,
was bit uneven and you just had a really hard time, you really had to focus with your headlamp on, picking each place you were going to put your foot.>> A little cold, a little dark, but a lot of fun.>> And of course to motivate you across the finish line, all runners get a sample from the cellar.
