>> The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says up to 100 passengers and crew reported feeling ill on an Emirates Airlines flight from New York to Dubai on Wednesday. This, despite an earlier claim by Emirates, that only 10 passengers were taken ill on the flight. The CDC says symptoms included fever and coughing.
The Airbus A388, the world's largest passenger aircraft, carrying some 500 passengers, was quarantined upon arrival at JFK as health officials evaluated passengers. Emirates says those who fell ill were taken to a local hospital. Passengers on social media say they were told to stay on board, although some could be seen disembarking and heading to waiting buses.
Those not affected were allowed to continue on with their travel.
