actress Felicity Huffman is set to plead guilty in a Boston federal court on Monday to a charge of conspiracy to commit fraud in what prosecutors call the largest college admission scam uncovered in US history , the desperate housewives actress is accused of paying fifteen thousand dollars to have someone secretly correct her daughter's SAT college entrance exam answers have minutes among fifty people accused of engaging in schemes that involved cheating on entrance exams taking athletic achievements end up paying twenty five million dollars in bribes to get their children into elite US universities as part of a plea deal prosecutors have agreed to recommend a prison term at the low end of the four to ten months Hoffman faces she also agreed to pay a twenty thousand dollar fine and restitution , full has actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo generally pled not guilty to charges in the scandal including money laundering conspiracy the extensive scam was masterminded by California college admissions consultants William Rick singer who has pled guilty to facilitating the scam and bribing coaches to present the parents children as stake athletic recruits the admission scandal is making its way to Hollywood just last week Annapurna television said it plans to turn it into a one hour limited series
