Taking a front row seat for the special birthday fly past, the Duchess of Cambridge holds Princess Charlotte, appearing at the annual event for her first time. The country's longest reigning monarch, on the throne for 64 years, was born in April. But keeping tradition to ensure its good weather, the Queen has an official birthday usually in June.
The commenerations this year, a double whammy for the royals with the occassion falling on the same day as the 95th birthday of Prince Philip, her majesty's husband of 68 years. As part of the celebrations, a flotilla of historic boats, including the Queen's, traveled down the river Thames.
