Across many parts of Britain there's a feeling of powerlessness. Communities that have been abandoned, abandoned from the mining industries destruction onwards. It's many of these communities, former industrial heartlands that voted to leave the European Union. They, those communities have taken the full force of austerity. The Tories choice to make deprived communities pay for the crisis, not of their making, has opened the door for a very nasty, divisive form of politics in this country.
That divisive politics has sort to blame immigrants not government.
