This year's Tony Award show is expected to reverse a slide in TV ratings thanks to the runaway success of Hamilton, it's multicultural cast drawing comparisons to Hollywood. James Corden joking that the evening show was quote like the Oscars, but with diversity. Hamilton's success has also helped Broadway break records this year, including nearly $1.4 billion in sales.
