>> The site of a deadly bomb attack in Baghdad, one of two to hit a Iraq on Thursday. At least 15 people dead and 50 wounded after a car exploded on a commercial street in the capital. Firefighters tried to dampen a burnt out building. Nearby buses completely destroyed.

It was the first of two blows to the region. A suicide bomber also blew up a car at an army checkpoint just north of the city. Police say seven soldiers were killed. No group has yet claimed the attacks but they come as Iraqi forces bombard nearby Fallujah, trying to drive Islamic State out of their stronghold
