>> A federal grand jury convened against the wife of Orlando shooter, Omar Mateen. Sources say, Noor Salman could soon be charged in the connection with the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in the early hours of Sunday. Reuters, Julia Hart is in Orlando.>> Law enforcement sources say, someone had knowledge of her husband's plans to carry out the attack.
She could be charged as early as Wednesday, in connection with the case. Although, there are reports that she knew of the attack and tried to dissuade her husband from carrying it out. The attack is the worst mass shooting in modern US history, and investigation continues into Omar Mateen's motivations for it.
>> An FBI sources told FOX News that prosecutors wants Salman on the hook as an accessory to 49 counts of murder and 53 counts of attempted murder. And NBC news says, Salman told federal agents, she once drove him to the Pulse night club to scope it out for an attack.
Mateen was killed by a police after a three-hour standoff on Sunday. He called 911 to pledge allegiance to various Islamist Militant groups. However, investigators say, there's no evidence he got help from groups like Islamic State and was likely self radicalized through the internet. Mateen's former wife says, he was mentally unstable, beat her, and then she had to flee their home after four months of marriage.
