>> A Federal grand jury convened against the wife of Orlando shooter, Omar Mateen. Sources say Noor Salman could soon be charged in connection with the mass shooting at a gay night club in the early hours of Sunday. Reuters' Julia Hart is in Orlando.>> Law enforcement sources say Salman had knowledge of her husband's plans to carry out the attack and tried to dissuade her husband from carrying it out.
The attack is the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history and investigation continues into Omar Mateen's motivations for it.>> An FBI source has told Fox News that prosecutors want Salman on the hook as an accessory to 49 counts of murder and 53 counts of attempted murder. And NBC News says Salman told federal agents she once drove him to the Pulse nightclub to scope it out for an attack.
Mateen was killed by police after a three hour standoff on Sunday. He called 911 to pledge allegiance to various Islamist militant groups. However, investigators say there's no evidence he got help from groups like Islamic State and was likely self-radicalized through the Internet. Mateen's former wife says he was mentally unstable, beat her, and that she had to flee their home after four months of marriage.
