>> Sales of Trump merchandise are booming at the Trump store. I'm Alyssa Ferris, in New York. Some of the store's top sellers included the infamous, Make America Great Again hat. This hat, in black, was available, but the hats in red were completely sold out. And people who worked at the store told customers to come back when they had more, or to go online and purchase them there.
Other things at the store included candy and stuffed animals, all marked with the Trump logo, of course. Campaign t-shirts and hats are rung up separately, as they count as donations for the campaign. I spoke to a number of people in line at the Trump store. One woman had made her second visit to the store.
She was there two days after the election specifically for the red Make America Great Again hat. She returned today, but they're also sold out. I also spoke with two children, 13 and 10, brother and sister, both of whom were in line to buy the Eric Trump stuffed animal dog.
They traveled all the way here from Florida. The kids originally came to New York for the Thanksgiving Day parade but they found themselves at the Trump Tower, which is New York's latest hot spot. Also in town for the parade was a woman and her son, they made a stop at the gift store too.
However, the woman was a little bit displeased, as most things were sold out. She wanted a Trump jacket. So if it's president-elect memorabilia you want in your holiday basket this year, it might be all sold out.
