Today we've seen one man who had half of his face missing from shrapnel from a mortar shall. We've seen a boy who's leg was blown open as well. A doctor has told me that they receive anywhere between 50 and 200 wounded civilians a day here. He said yesterday, 25 people died.

The victims come from areas recaptured from Islamic State as Iraqi forces battle to drive the jihadists out of their only stronghold in the country.>> It's been quite difficult for Iraqi security forces to actually secure the areas as they move in because they'll move into a neighborhood.
But there will still be ISIS, mortar and sniper fire coming over their heads and in some cases targeting civilians.>>
