President-elect Donald Trump, taking to Twitter on Monday night to promote Brexiteer-in-chief Nigel Farage for one of Britain's top diplomatic post saying, he would do a great job. That's a little awkward for UK Prime Minister, Theresa May.

Reuters UK Bureau Chief Guy Faulconbridge says Trumps suggestion was seen as, well, undiplomatic.>> Usually, that's considered to be the remit of the country that's sending the ambassador, not the country that's receiving the ambassador. Downing Street was very swift to say, quite pointedly that there is no vacancy for the job of Britain's ambassador to Washington.

And ministers have come out today and said that they're very happy with the work of the current British ambassador to Washington. So in a way, they're basically rejecting any interference from Trump.>> Few of us->> May is expected to meet Trump in the New Year. Farage joked about that meeting and Trump's on-camera admissions to groping women.

He appeared at a Trump campaign rally. Trump intern has cheered the Brexit camp. And like Trump, Farage has made inflammatory rhetoric about immigration.
