>> Between us and we have->> It's a $99 billion correction to a Donald Trump tweet next last week, giving more tip to the President's potential trade moves on China. A White House spokesman said Wednesday they're pressing Beijing to slash its trade surplus with the US by 100 not $1 billion.
The lower number was what Trump had tweeted last week. He also seem to mistakenly referred to it as a trade deficit. US censors data shows that America's trade imbalance with China made up two-thirds of its global deficit last year. But still unclear Wednesday is how the White House plans to achieve that $100 billion cut.
It may mean China buys more American's soybeans or aircraft or the US could ask Beijing to make a major overhaul of how it handles trade. At the same time sources say the White House is readying tariffs of up to $60 billion worth of Chinese tech telecoms and consumer products.
However, on Thursday Chinese State media sounds it off saying the United States was trying to play the victim and that quote, once the trade war starts capable countries won't bow to the US.
