>> It is a well known defense tactic.>> The highest ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, fired back at Donald Trump, Sunday, over the president's decision not to release the Democratic rebuttal to a Republican memo, that alleged bias the FBI.>> The hypocrisy of this just kind of reaches out and grabs you by the throat.
>> Representative Adam Schiff, on CBS's Face the Nation, blasted Trump as quote, a President who puts his own personal interests above the national security interests of the country. The classified memo relates to investigations of Russian influence in the 2016 US presidential election. On Saturday, Trump tweeted that the Democrats memo was, quote, very political and long, and would have to be heavily redacted do to highly sensitive information.
While Schiff said the memo was not improperly drafted, he also said this.>> We're gonna sit down with the FBI and go through any concerns that they have. And any legitimate concerns over sources and methods, we will redact.>> But if you do that before you submitted the memo, congressman?
>> Yes we did.>> Schiff added that the Dems memo underminds Trumps claim of vindication in the Russia probe. The House Intelligence Committee unanimously voted to release the classified memo.
