COMING UP:Share Opener Variant 3

>> After 22,000 solo appearances over seven decades, and some comments that has landed him hot water. Britain's Prince Phillip bows out to public life on Wednesday. His last official engagement here, at a parade of Royal Marines at Buckingham Palace.>>
]>> The 96-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth's often been described as outspoken and irascible.
Over the years, he developed a reputation for occasional brusque and sometimes politically incorrect public comments. During a state visit to China in the 1980s, he made a cliched comment about the appearance of Chinese people. One which became symbolic of his gruff and often unguarded manner. During a visit to Scotland in 1995 he asked a driving instructor.
How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to pass the driving test? And he made headlines when he swore exasperatedly at a photographer in 2015. The Duke of Edinburgh has nonetheless been by the Queen's side throughout her 65 years on the throne. HRH has described him as, my strength and stay.
But there's no sign of the Queen following in his footsteps. The 91-year-old will carry on with a full program of official engagements.
