>> Chester Bennington the lead single of rock band Linkin Park has died. The front man was found dead at his Palos Verdes home near Los Angeles on Thursday. A Los Angeles county coroner's office is treating the death as an apparent suicide. Celebrity website TMZ reported the singer had hung himself.
Bennington had a history of alcohol and drug abuse and spoke openly about his struggles. In 2011, he said he had been sober for six years. His death came a week before the band was due to kick off the US leg of its world tour in support of its latest album, One More Light.
Bennington was 41 years old.
