The spokesman for Donald Trump's outside legal team, Mark Corallo, said on Friday that he has resigned from his post. And Trump's personal lawyer, Marc Kasowitz reportedly taking on a diminished role with veteran Washington lawyer, John Dowd, reportedly now taking the lead.
Amid reports that Robert Mueller's investigation into possible ties between the Kremlin and the Trump team has now expanded to probe Trump's family business dealings. Sources telling, the Washington Post that Trump's been investigating his powers of pardoning, and whether it can be used on his aides, family and on himself.
As the White House hunkers down for a proper legal fight. The New York Times report say, Trump's team will now focus their efforts on investigating the investigators, looking for possible conflicts of interest in an effort to discredit Mueller and his team. Or according to the times, in an effort to possibly fire Mueller which would likely set off a huge political firestorm much like the president's firing of FBI director James Comey did back in May.
