>> US Intelligence officials in a confidential assessment concluding that North Korea has successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit inside its missiles. That according to a report from the Washington Post, which if true means the hermit kingdom has taken a crucial step to becoming a full fledged nuclear power.
Findings mean the threat posed by Korea appears to be advancing far more rapidly than experts had thought. The Post saying US officials last month concluded that North Korea is also outpacing expectations in its effort to build an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of striking cities in the continental US.
The news comes after the UN's Security Council unanimously passed a resolution over the weekend banning North Korea exports of coal, metals and seafood meant to press the country to renounce it's nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs.>>
