>> At least 20 people were killed Tuesday, in a bomb blast outside Kabul's Supreme Court, government officials say. The attack on the Afghan capitol appears to be the latest in a series on the judiciary. The Ministry of Public Health says, at least 20 people were killed, while 38 more injured, were taken to city hospitals.
Witnesses at the scene reported bloodstains on the street and numerous ambulances in the area.>> I was a very short distance from the area when an explosion went off, many of my colleagues have been killed and wounded in the suicide attack.>> There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, which police said was caused by an apparent suicide bomb, and targeting supreme court employees leaving their offices at the end of the working day.
On January 10, Taliban bombers killed more than 30 people, and wounded a further 70 in twin blasts in a crowded area of Kabul during the afternoon rush hour. The Islamist militant Taliban group are fighting to oust foreign forces and bring down the US backed government, claimed responsibility for that attack.
