a day after another mass shooting in America the campaign trail took a detour toward the tragedy of Roseburg Oregon after president Obama's angry call to politicize the issue though the rhetoric was predictable in Massachusetts Democrat Hillary Clinton renewing her pledge to take on the gun lobby we have got to get the political will to do everything we can to keep it , Clinton wants universal background checks to buy a gun which bases its natural opposition among NRA backed Republicans in both houses Vermont senator Bernie Sanders called for sensible gun control but the new Darling of the left could be vulnerable here he had a mixed record on gun control which many liberals have question , nnj Jeb bush stumbled over his own response when asked about a hypothetical match shooting bush said look , in the impulse is always to do something in it , there is a right , here that can make their own judgments based on the fact that every couple , we have , and and they can decide whether they consider that , retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson telling reporters gun control only worked for law abiding citizens , it doesn't work or crazies , front runner Donald Trump was also played a character , telling MSNBC it's the same old story but what are you going to do institutionalized everybody therapy Mike Huckabee accused Obama of exploiting the tragedy and Ted gun free zone such a school make people quote sitting ducks , none of the Republican candidates are proposing new limits on access to guns
