S. army veteran has been called a hero for running toward the sound of bullets in an effort to save his classmates from the shooter in shocking detail mis described coming face to face with the gunmen Chris Harper Mercer after screaming at someone in the parking lot to call the police which angered the shooter who came after minutes , quote he shot me again while I was on the ground means goes on to write his Facebook posting I yelled into my kids birthday he pointed the gun right at my face and then he retreated back into the class , I'm still confused , at why he didn't shoot me again nine people were killed in the October first massacre making it the deadliest mass shooting in the United States in two years
