>> Overturned on it's way to Cameroon's economic hub, a packed train derailed near the town of Eseka on Friday morning. The government confirming on Saturday that more than 70 people were killed and at least 600 injured. The train was travelling from the capital Yaounde to the port city of Douala.
One of the central African country's main transport routes. The rail operator has yet to confirm what caused the incident, but the train had been in more demand than usual. A road linking the cities had collapsed earlier in the day forcing more travellers to go by rail. A Reuter's reporter who was on the train at the time of the accident said several had been added to accommodate extra passengers.
