>> Ahead of the final presidential debate in Las Vegas, Donald Trump losing a key campaign advisor, former Fox News president, Roger Ailes. New York Magazine and Vanity Fair both reporting that the two are no longer on speaking terms. Ailes, who is said to be coaching the Republican nominee in debate prep, left Fox News in July amid a sexual harassment scandal, leaving him time to help Trump through his own damaging charges of impropriety.
The reason for the fallout, Gabriel Sherman of New York Magazine saying ask the Ailes camp. And they say Trump couldn't focus during debate prep and that advising him was a waste of time. Sarah Ellison of Vanity Fair saying that ask the Trump side and they say Ailes kept going off on tangents and talking about his war stories while he was supposed to be prepping Trump for the second debate.
Whatever the true story may be, it could be fodder for a new miniseries about Ailes currently in development, which is based on a biography about the shamed TV magnate written by Sherman.
