>> Another powerful earthquake shaking central Italy. Emergency services rushing to help these nuns to safety in Norcia, just one of the towns affected across the region. Many buildings have collapsed and even more are damaged. The historic Basilica of St Benedict among that number. This video with no sound shows the moment one of them fell.
It's the same region as August's earthquake that killed 300 people and large aftershocks last week. But with a magnitude of 6.6, this tremor is the biggest yet. Many people have fled the region in the past two months helping to avoid a new devastating death toll. Local media say so far nine people have been pulled from the rubble alive.
So far no deaths have been reported, and only a few injuries. 150 kilometers away the tremors were felt in Rome. At his weekly prayer, Pope Francis expressing solidarity with the victims.>>
> The quake was felt across the whole of Italy right down at the southern tip of the Italian peninsula and as far north as Bolzano on the Austrian border.
