>> The Chicago Cubs dreams of ending their 108 year old World Series curse, hanging by a thread, heading into Sunday night's game. Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians leaving the Cubs down 3 to 1 in the best of seven series. And needing a comeback for the ages to stave off disaster before a hometown crowd at Wrigley Field.
Only six times has a team fought back from a 3-1 deficit to win the world series. On Saturday, it was Indians pitcher Cory Kluber and Jason Kipnis who grew up as a Chicago Cubs fan hitting a three run homer in the seventh inning, giving the Indians the lead for good.
The Cubs piled up an impressive 103 wins in the regular season, feeding expectations this would finally be their year. The last time the Cubs won the World Series was in 1908, and the Indians last took the title in 1948.
