>> A near miss for Governor Mike Pence. The Republican Vice Presidential nominee's plane sliding off the runway on Thursday after a rough touchdown at New York's LaGuardia Airport. The campaign's press secretary saying nobody got hurt.>> Governor Pence and everyone on board the plane is fine, thankfully due to some great work by the Port Authority and all the airport authorities, the dedicated flight attendants.
There were no injuries.>> The Indiana governor was on board with around 30 passengers, including his wife and daughter, when the plane apparently overshot the runway. Reports say the pilot hit the brakes hard. Pictures on social media showing torn up tarmac. Passengers were evacuated out of the back of the plane, and the airport shut down for an hour.
Donald Trump updated supporters from the campaign trail in Ohio.>> I just spoke to our future Vice-President, and he's okay. Do you know? He was in a big accident with a plane. Pence says he plans to get right back to work on Friday and tweeted out his thanks to the world.
