And with it ending Ecclestone's 40 years at the helm. The 86 year old replaced his chief executive by Chase Carey, who will oversee a new management team. Ecclestone, handed the newly created title of Chairman Emeritus, recognizing his contribution to the sport but removing him from its day to day running.
