It is our view that Bashar al-Assad should go, as been, it's been our long-standing position. I see downsides and I see risks in us going in, doing a complete flip-flop supporting the Russians of Assad, and I to you. But I must also be realistic about the way the landscape has changed, and it may be that we will have to think afresh about how we handle this.
It may be, for instance, that there is, with the Trump administration I think the crucial point to make is that any deal with the Russians of necessity involves an accommodation with Iran.
