>> At least five people were killed and 15 injured early Monday when a gunman opened fire in Mexico's Playa Del Carmen resort during the BPM electronic music festival. The cell phone footage seen here taken by a bystander shows the apparent panic at a night club after the shots rang out.
State officials reporting two Canadians, an Italian and a Colombian were killed. Woman died in the stampede to exit the club. BPM music festival has grown to be one of the most important electronic music events in the world with top DJs flying in every January to play the clubs at Playa Del Carmen along Mexico's Caribbean coast.
The shooting represents a blow to Mexico's tourism industry, which has been one of the few bright spots in the economy thanks to a weak peso. In Quintana Roo, the area where the shooting took place and the surrounding Yucatan peninsula have been traditionally less violent than other parts of Mexico, with relatively low murder rates.
