Plans in Washington for a march at the National Mall initially expecting 200,000 people, organizers on Saturday saying they may have drawn half a million. The crowd so packed, the marchers backed up all the way along the planned route.
Similar numbers in New York, demonstrations also in Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle, marches in Heartland City such as Kansas City, Milwaukee, Wichita, Suffolk. An unprecedented display of popular dissatisfaction following a presidential inauguration.>> This is an outpouring of energy and true democracy like I have never seen in my very long life.
>> Look at this, I can't even see the end of the crowd. Unbelievable.>> A rallying call for the women's march Donald Trump's own words bragging about grabbing women by the genitals. The multiple allegations of sexual assault made against him. And his political stances against abortion and Planned Parenthood.
Other protestors decrying Trump's stances on immigration, the environment, criminal justice, and gun violence. An ABC News poll conducted days before the inauguration showed Donald Trump entering the office as the most unpopular president in 40 years. One estimate putting Saturday's total numbers at two and a half million demonstrators against Trump worldwide.
