>> The sea plane which crashed into a river in Sydney on New Years Eve will be recovered this week. All six on board were killed including the Chief Executive of British K-Tron giant Compass Group as well as four of his family members and the pilot. Australia's Transport Safety Investigation Agency is trying to piece together what happened.
>> We will be looking at a number of areas particularly around the aircraft's components. We'll be removing those and examining them. We'll also be looking at any recorded data that might be on the aircraft.>> The wreckage is currently submerged in 30 meters of water. A preliminary report into the crash will be made public in out month, but authorities warn that it may take up to a year to find out what happened.
The aircraft was part of the Sydney Sea Planes business that has operated since 2005 with no previous mishaps. Sea plane flights have been canceled until further notice
