>> Thank you, number 63 on the extradition calendar->> Tyler Barriss, a Los Angeles man accused of calling in a fake hostage situation that ended in a fatal police involved shooting, made his first court appearance on Wednesday. The 25 year old waived his right to extradition, and will now be transferred to Kansas where the shooting happened.
He was arrested after the killing of a 28 year old man in Wichita on Thursday. Authorities say police shot the Kansas man minutes after arriving at the residence in response to the hoax call. These calls of falsely reporting an emergency requiring police response are known as swatting, for special weapons and tactics or SWAT teams.
The victim was identified as Andrew Finch, a father of two.
