>> Emergency services rushing to a Coptic Christian church in Egypt on Friday after a deadly attack on the Mar Mina church south of Cairo. According to medical and security sources, at least nine people have been killed in total, including three policemen. The attacker, who was reportedly wearing an explosive vest, was shot dead by the church's security forces.
Two other bombs are said to have been defused near the church. A second attacker has been captured, according to state media. The attack could've been even more deadly. A witness says a policeman was killed while he was closing the church gate to stop the gunman getting in. Officers were deployed outside the church as police have increased security in the run-up to the Coptic Christmas celebrations on the 7th of January.
No group has yet claimed responsbility. But attacks by Islamist militants on Egypt's large Christian minority have become common.
