>> Authorities searching for a motive Sunday in the deadly attack at a shopping mall in Washington state. The suspect, 20 year old Arcan Cetin taken into custody late Saturday in the town of Oak Harbor, about 30 miles from the Cascade Mall in Burlington where the shooting took place.
>> I saw an individual walking northbound on the sidewalk, and I instantly recognized that is the person I just viewed on my computer. I did an abrupt U turn, hit my lights, pulled my gun, and myself and reserve deputy Eric Grumbaugh took the individual into custody. He said nothing.
He was just kind of zombie like, about the best I can describe for him. He did not have a weapon with him, he had a leather satchel, there appeared to be a computer inside the bag.>> Cetin opened fire in the cosmetic section of the Macy's department store Friday night, killing four women and a man who died later at a hospital.
The victims range in age from the mid teens to the mid 90s. Authorities say there's no evidence the shooting was an act of terrorism, but they've not ruled out the possibility. They say Cetin was born in Turkey but was in the United States as a legal permanent resident.
The attack comes after a series of similar incidents across the US, including the stabbing of nine people at a mall in Minnesota last weekend. No one died in that case. Cetin is due to appear in that court on Monday.
