>> A near miss. The USS Mason guided-missile destroyer targeted on Sunday in a failed missile strike said to have been fired from bases near the Yemeni capital, which is controlled by Iran-backed Houthi rebels. The Houthis denying firing at the ship. A Saudi-led military coalition intercepting the missiles. Saudi media saying its war planes struck back at the bases they came from.
Washington supports the Saudi alliance, but has announced to review because of mounting civilian casualties. In a war that has killed 10,000 Yemenis. A Saudi-led airstrike hit a funeral in the capital of Sana'a on Saturday, killing about 140 mourners. Arch rivals, Saudi Arabia and Iran have taken opposing sides in Yemen's war.
Sunni Riad and it's allies backing an exiled government against the Shiite houthis which it calls an Iranian proxy. Houthi missiles attacked a United Arab Emirates vessel last week, showing the United States and its allies face growing danger from Yemen's war.
