We're a government very much based on that makes our decisions and trust others to make decisions based on evidence. And I know that rhetoric gets headed in election campaigns. But the fact is that NAFTA has been incredibly good. There's always going to be people who will point at certain changes and challenges, and make causal correlations and blame.
But the fact is, trade is important. The level of integration in our economy is between Canada, United States, and Mexico makes for tremendous complementarity. And as we look to being able to engage more with the rising, growing economies of Asia, with the rising Africa, with the opportunities in Europe, it just makes sense for us to be working together as an integrated and harmonized economy in the NAFTA sense.
