>> Lebanese group Hezbollah says one of its senior commanders was killed earlier this week. Mustafa Badreddine reportedly dying in a blast at a base near Damascus. Israel are refusing to comment on speculation that it was an air strike.

The 2005 killing of Lebanese statesman Rafic al-Hariri. The U.S. government says he was responsible for the Shiite groups operations in Syria. He was also thought to have conducted attacks in Israel, Kuwait, and elsewhere. Hezbolaha says Badreddine has been a key figure in most of their major operations since 1982.
His death seen as the biggest blow to the group since its military chief was killed in 2008.
