>> Samantha Bee is known for pushing the envelope on her TBS show Full Frontal.>> Welcome back to the show.>> But many are wondering if the comedian went too far when she used vulgar language to insult Ivanka Trump. And on Friday, her father, President Donald Trump, pounced on TBS for not doing enough to condemn Bee.
Tweeting, quote, why aren't they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show? A total double standard, but that's okay, we are winning. The president alluding to how the media handled another high-profile scandal this week. When ABC wasted no time firing comedian Roseanne Barr for her racist tweet targeting Obama aide Valerie Jarett.
Trump, who had publicly cheered Barr's high ratings->> They were unbelievable.>> Did not condemn her racist remark. Bee's comments were made Wednesday night in the opening monologue of her show. When she used a crude reference to the female anatomy to criticize Ivanka Trump, a senior white house advisor.
For posting a photo with her son on Twitter, while thousands of migrant children have been separated from their parents as part of her father's immigration policy. Bee tweeted out an apology on Thursday saying, quote, I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it. TBS, owned by Time Warner, also issued an apology, saying, those words should not have been aired.
It was our mistake too, and we regret it. So far, two sponsors, Autotrader and State Farm, have pulled their ads from Bee's show.
