e aftermath of a deadly blast in Afghanistan on Tuesday. At least 16 people killed in the southern city of Kandahar. Thousands more injured, brought to this hospital.>>

] A lots of people have been killed in the blast including children, youths and elderly people. Ambulances and security vehicles are rushing to the sites of the blast.

The incident took place in a crowded area.>> There was some confusion about the cause of the explosion. Officials initially believed it was caused by a bomb packed into a minibus, but later said the explosives were in two containers stored in an area of mechanics workshops. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

But Afghanistan has seen a spate of such attacks since the beginning of this year. Fighting across the country has stepped up as the Taliban seeks to reimpose hard line Islamic rule.
