>> Ready?>> UC Berkeley head basketball coach Lindsey Gottlieb was traveling with her infant son when she says a Southwest agent asked her for proof that the biracial baby was really hers.>> It made me feel a little bit less than.>> Gottlieb says she was flying home from Denver when she showed her son's passport to an agent but that wasn't enough.
She says the agent wanted to see a birth certificate.>> And she said, how do I know you're the mother?>> Gotlieb says she thinks the agent questioned her because her baby is biracial.>> I was rattled I think, I was a little bit shocked.>> Gottlieb says she was eventually allowed to check in after showing the agent a Facebook post proving she's the mother.
Southwest says it's looking into the incident, saying, quote, we always strive for the best experience for anyone who entrusts us with their travel.>> It is my responsibility to say hey, this happened. This isn't okay, and maybe somewhere down the line that helps my son who is biracial.
