>> Tampa police say they've caught the man suspected of killing four people and terrorizing a neighborhood. 24 year old Howell Donaldson III has been arrested and will face murder charges. After four deadly shootings that occurred in the city from October 9th to November 14th. Fears of a serial killer have gripped the Seminole Heights neighborhood for weeks.
Police say they received more than 5,000 tips, but there was one tip on Tuesday that led police to the suspect.>> We received some information about Mr. Donaldson having a firearm at the McDonalds. One of his coworkers approached a police officer.>> Donaldson was allegedly armed with a gun when he was taken into custody.
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn says the coworker and police deserve praise.>> And then the process will occur when this individual rots in hell.>> Surveillance video was released early in the investigation. Showing a person of interest walking in the area where the first victim, Benjamin Mitchell, was gunned down on October 9th.
Monica Hoffa, Anthony Naiboa, and Ronald Felton were killed in the five weeks that followed. After more than 50 days residents are breathing a sigh of relief now that a suspect is in custody.
